On September 16^th  – 23^rd, 2014 there was held a visit of Polish delegation in China, led by President of Foundation – Mr. Grzegorz Calik. Delegation consisted of representatives of local authorities (Jastrzębie – Zdrój City Hall), business (JSW Group) and science (Cracow University of Technology) as well as representatives of Foundation. During official meetings in Xuzhou and Huainan, delegation was accompanied by the First Counsellor of Consulate General of Republic of Poland in Shanghai, Mr. Andrzej Pieczonka. In the agenda prepared in Huainan, participated also FASING company led by the President of the company.

Thanks to appropriate coordination of meetings between Foundation and Partners from China, it was possible to visit 4 cities  – Beijing, Xuzhou, Huainan and Shanghai. The program included both substantive and cultural elements.

In Beijing, in the development of partnerships between the city of Krakow, and the Chaoyang District Beijing, there was held a meeting with the Middle School No. 80, to discuss the possibilities of cooperation with Polish secondary schools.

In Xuzhou, the delegation participated in the meeting with local auhorities led by the Vice Mayor of Xuzhou, Mr. Wang An Shun. Previous meetings and effective discussion, resulted in signing the letter of intent between Jastrzębie – Zdrój city and Xuzhou city. From Jastrzębie – Zdrój side, the document was signed by the Secretary, Mr. Grzegorz Dulemba. In Xuzhou, the delegation had also opportunity to meet with the Xuzhou Coal Mining Company and Xuzhou Engineering College.

During stay in Huainan, members of the delegation had an opportunity to participate in International Mining Conference organized jointly by AGH University of Science & Technology from Cracow and Anhui University of Science and Technology in Huainan. Thanks to friendly relations, it was also possible to meet with representatives of Huainan Municipal People’s Government, led by the Vice Mayor of Huainan, Mr. Dong Zhongbing. Delegation has also met with the largest mining companies operating in Huainan area, including SDIC Group and Huianan Coal Mining Company.

Perfect preparation of individual meetings, allowed to obtain results, which was establishing cooperation between Partners from both countries. These activities, with the active participation of the Foundation, will be continued for the mutual benefit of Partners.
