This University has been active in carrying on international exchange and cooperation and has maintained friendly relationships with foreign universities, such as Jacksonville State University of USA, Hanoi National University of Vietnam, Lincoln University of New Zealand, Chodang University of the Republic of Korea etc. Every year excellent teachers will be sent abroad to study further, which will broaden their visual fields. In 2002 Taizhou University was approved to enroll students abroad.

Short-term – is arranged according to students’ requirements.

Long-term – the learning period lasts one whole year with 2 terms, the required courses are arranged in the morning and elective courses in the afternoon. The course of Chinese as a foreign language mainly includes: Basic Chinese, Applied Chinese and Literary Work. In addition, the following elective courses are available to all students: Calligraphy, Traditional Chinese Painting, Chinese Kong Fu, Chinese Literature, Chinese Phonetics etc.
