On 25 – 27 May 2015 was held the visit of the Huainan delegation   in Poland. The delegation visited Poland at the invitation of the President of the Foundation, Mr. Grzegorz Calik and the Mayor of Lubliniec, Mr. Edward Maniura. Chinese delegation was headed by Mr. Dong Zhongbing, Vice President of Huainan City.
Huainan City is located in the middle reaches of Huaihe River. It is a city focusing on modern energy. As the city with the prefectural authority, its jurisdiction covers 5 districts – Tianjia’an, Xiejiaji, Datong, Maoji, Panji and Fengtai district. The city area is 2,112 square kilometers and population of 2.1 million inhabitants (including 1.375 million urban population). Huainan boasts an excellent quality of the environment. The climate is temperate monsoon, with four seasons and abundant rainfall.
The aim of the visit was to establish partnership relations between the cities of Huainan and Lubliniec. The delegation was received by the Mayor of Lubliniec, Mr. Edward Maniura. Thanks to Foundation’s efforts, substantive discussion ended with the signing of a letter of intent in which both cities have expressed their desire to build further relationships. The delegation also had the opportunity to meet with representatives of local businesses, and explore both Lubliniec and Krakow, and also visit the Memorial Site and Museum in Auschwitz – Birkenau.
The Foundation will actively support all activities aimed at developing international cooperation between Huainan and Poland.
