On 5 February 2016 a vernissage of the exhibition “Chinese Secrets. Discoveries and inventions” was held in the District Museum in Nowy Sącz. Exhibit items presented at the exhibition were made available by Euro – Asian Foundation for Business Education.

At the vernissage there were present among others: Deputy Mayor Nowy Sącz – Mr Wojciech Piech, Museum Director – Mr Robert Ślusarek, Cultured Counsellor of the Embassy of China – Mrs Cai Lian, First Secretary of the Department of the Culture of the Embassy of China – Mr Li Li, President of Euro – Asian Foundation for Business Education – Mr Grzegorz Calik and the Chief of China Radio International – Mrs Tang Li.

The exhibition is aimed at presenting the rich cultural and technical legacy of Middle Kingdom. As part of the exhibition it is possible to have a look at achievements of the Chinese technical thought, traditional medicine, as well as items from the field of cultural achievements – Chinese opera and theatre.

At the exhibition it is possible to see models and copies of inventions originating from the first centuries of our age so like for example: the seismograph, the homing machine, the globe of the sky, kites or the junk. The exhibition also presents items associated with the production of bronze, paper, china or silk.

The exhibition is an excellent chance for everyone who wants to get familiar with the scientific and cultural legacy of China more widely.
