33rd Harbin Int’l Ice and Snow Festival opens
33rd Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival opened Wednesday, in the city of Harbin, northeast China.
The theme for the festival is “Harbin: Pearl on the Crown of Ice and Snow”.
The total ice and snow consumption for the event exceeds 330,000 cubic meters, on an area enough for building four magnificent Beijing Bird’s Nest Stadium.
Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival is listed among the four most important international ice festivals along with Quebec Winter Carnival, Norway Oslo Ski Festival, and Sapporo Snow Festival.
