First Sino-Polish College of Engineering
On 5.05.2017 in the MInistry of Science and Higher Education, in the presence of Deputy Minister, Professor Aleksander Bobko, there was conducted a signing ceremony for the agreement on establishment of First Sino-Polish College. The parties of this agreement are:
- From China: Tianjin Chengjian University (TCU)
- From Poland: Bialystok University of Technology (BUT) and Cracow University of Technology (CUT)
The project assumes establishment of the unique entity, a First Sino-Polish College of Engineering located at TCU in Tianjin. It will offer education in following majors:
- architecture (in cooperation with CUT);
- urban planning (in cooperation with CUT);
- civil engineering (in cooperation with BUT);
- environmental engineering (in cooperation with BUT).
One of the main assumptions is confirmation and implementation of teaching programs jointly by the academicians from Poland and China, which will result in presence of CUT and BUT teaching staff in Tianjin.
The project is directed to the Chinese students, for whom a great benefit will be receiving a double diploma – both from TCU and relevant Polish University.
Euro-Asian Foundation for Business Education played a big role in the process of confirming the rules for the project and certain cooperation elements.
Foundation activity as a coordinator and a supporting entity allowed for facilitation of communication and organization processes regarding whole undertaking. It’s a first project of such type implemented in the system of Universities cooperation between Poland and China. Thank to Foundation, two prestigious Polish Universities can be a part of such groundbreaking project.
