Last evening of 2016 was celebrated by 6 500 music lovers in Beijing gathered at Great Hall of the People while listening to  the concert performed by members of Beethoven Festival Orchestra and conducted by Krzysztof Penderecki. The performance was organized with the support of the Polish Institute and the Embassy of The Republic of Poland in Beijing.

6500 people enjoyed the concert, including Polish Ambassador in China HE Mr. Mirosław Gajewski, Chinese Ambassador in Poland HE Mr. Xu Jian and Vice President of Chinese Association of Foreign Frendship, Mr. Xie Yuan . Maestro Penderecki, well recognized and appreciated by Chinese audience together with the orchestra, enjoyed warm welcome from the audience gathered in Great Hall of the People.

Great Hall of the People where the concert was held, is a unique place, rarely available for artistic performances. It’s a place where sessions of Chinese Parliament take place, where most important national celebrations are held and where heads of states and other important guests from abroad are being received.
