Information about the University | Tianjin University of Technology (TUT) was founded by Tianjin Government in 1978 ,start admission in 1979 and was authorized by the State Council in 1981. TUT is an engineering-based multi-discipline university, which has the disciplines in engineering, science, humanities, management and etc. 25,720 full-time students are studying bachelor and master degree programs at TUT.
TUT offers 58 bachelor degree programs and 15 first grade discipline master programs, 69 second grade discipline master programs across 12 authorized engineering master degree programs and 2 authorized translation major master degrees integrated with the disciplines of engineering, science, humanities and management. TUT’s great attachment of importance on education quality has facilitated the job seeking for students. The excellent remarks has been conferred by Ministry of Education during the teaching quality evaluation for bachelor degree programs. There has been a steady rise in the research level of TUT. Its scientific research fund has reached RMB 120 million and it has been granted 102 patents by the state. TUT has established friendly cooperative relationships with over 70 colleges and universities from more than 20 countries or regions in the world. It has initiated 3 joint education programs for master degrees and 4 joint education programs for bachelor degrees with universities from Canada and Japan. TUT has also established a Confucius Institute in cooperation with Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland. |
