A research seminar on Tadeusz Kantor will present a broader perspective on his work and focus on the author’s influence on the development of theatre in Poland.

The seminar programme coordinated by Central Theatre Academy professor Shen Lin,  a specialist in the field of the European theatre and the editor-in-chief of Drama magazine, will be accompanied by a photo exhibition. The project will also promote two Polish books on theatre translated into Chinese: Dariusz Kosiński’s Teatra polskie and Krzysztof Miklaszewski’s Encounters with Kantor. The programme includes a discussion panel with Polish researchers. The exhibition hosted in the university gallery will present Kantor’s work in Poland and abroad as photographed by Tadeusz Rolke. Film screenings of Kantor’s two performances, The Dead Class and Wielopole, Wielopole, will end the Chinese project.
